A Toolkit for Creating Award Shows Across Lyft’s Footprint

Time To Celebrate This Year’s Top Drivers

Lyft drivers work hard. They aim for the highest ratings as they log countless hours getting riders from point A to B, even if those two are hundreds of miles apart. So Lyft decided to celebrate these road warriors with an award show in each market. But coordinating this many events was going to require a system that could put logistical control in the hands of local marketing teams while retaining control of branding and the experience at the corporate level.

“You’ve Been Nominated for a Driver of the Year Award in [Insert One of the Many Lyft Cities]!”

To pull this off, we designed and developed templates for all the digital touchpoints, leaving plenty of room for localizing the party details while locking down the experience to ensure every award show went off without a hitch.

In-App Nominations

Invites within the Lyft Driver App notified drivers at the top of their rideshare game that they were up for an award. All they had to do was RSVP.

A Landing Page in a Party Mood

If the allure of being recognized for their accomplishments wasn’t enough, the landing page was sure to do the trick and get them to RSVP. We dialed up the party energy and touted all the things that were sure to seal the deal for the nominees: free food, free drinks, free swag, music, entertainment…

A quick sign up form and the party was on. All they had to do was show up. And our handy calendar reminder made that easy too.
